Best Eye Makeup Removers
The top six best eye makeup removers with the highest rankings at very affordable prices. These six eye makeup removers were chosen by me because they have everything one looks for in a good quality makeup remover. If you are more into DIY’s and natural ways to remove your eye makeup, I have a “recipe” for you. I will show you how to make your own, inexpensive and very easy to make eye makeup remover. The eye makeup removers that I have listed below rank no less than 4 stars and I have picked them for the following reasons:
- Remove waterproof mascara
- Great for sensitive skin ( hypoallergenic )
- Suitable for contact lens wearers
- Leaves skin soft and non-greasy or oily
- Strengthen eyelashes
- Keeps the skin around your eyes moist
- Great price
Some remove makeup on your face but I personally don’t recommend makeup removers or cleansing wipes to remove your face makeup (foundation, concealer and face powders. This is why, If you are just wiping your face with a makeup remover your makeup is getting pushed into your pores which in time causes enlarged pores and can cause breakouts, bacteria growth which can lead to acne. If you feel you must use a makeup remover I recommend you wash your face first with a face soap and afterwards wipe with the makeup remover. I’ll list some good face soaps below.

Ok, now if you are into DIY’s than here is an eye makeup remover you can make yourself with only two ingredients. This remover also falls on the list of best eye makeup removers. The remover is very good at removing waterproof mascara and strengthens your eyelashes, the only downfall is it leaves oil behind, I would recommend to use it before you go to bed, by morning the oil has been completely absorbed and the skin around your eyes will feel very soft and moist. Any other time of the day I would suggest you wipe off the oil with a wet face pad and then moisturize the skin around your eyes. If this stuff falls in your eyes it might sting a little but not much to worry about.
What you will need to make your own makeup remover-
- Extra virgin olive oil (for cooking)
- Witch Hazel
- One 3 oz plastic bottle (like the ones you use for your shampoo and conditioner to travel)

- Fill the plastic bottle halfway with olive oil
- Fill the other half with the Witch Hazel

When you are ready to use it just shake it and squeeze a few drops on a face pad and wipe off the eye makeup. When you get to the top lashes gently wipe down then open your eyes and wipe up on the top lashes. Wipe the entire eye area. Do not rinse off. If you need to apply makeup on your eyes I suggest you remove the oil with a clean wet face pad and then moisturize the eye area with an eye cream.
